Rondane Teknologi AS is an innovative advising company within ammonia and LNG fuel gas solutions for the marine industry.

Its employee, Mr Jørn M. Jonas, has more than 30 years experience from the marine field, mostly within liquefied gas carriers and liquid gas fuel systems.

The present activity includes development and design of ammonia fuel systems, commissioning/gassing-up of LNG fuel systems and LCO2 carrier design studies. 

The latest innovation is a boil off gas (BOG) handling system that is integrated with the ammonia fuel gas supply system. A unique simple BOG ejector compression combined with cold heat recovery technology is the core components for a closed cooling circuit for ammonia fuel tanks.

The equipment is integrated in the tank connection space (TCS). No need for compressor and compressor housing.

The solution is patent pending, and is designed for ships with two-stroke propulsion. A small branch flow from the high pressure ammonia fuel supply line is used as ejector drive (motive fluid). The system piping is of small dimensions and the specific cooling capacity is high.
